MassTransfer – The Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é Broadcast Media Technology program meets the MassTransfer General Education Foundation:  

 MassTransfer’s A2B (associate to bachelors) benefits will also be awarded to students upon completing their program, however students may have additional courses to complete depending on their major at the four-year college/university. .  

Upon successful completion of the Associate Degree in Broadcast Media Technologies, students will be able to:

1. Master Technical Skills in Media Production:
   • Demonstrate proficiency in the use of industry-standard broadcast media equipment, including cameras, microphones, editing software, and sound mixing tools.
   • Apply techniques for video and audio production, including lighting, sound recording, and post-production editing, to create professional-level broadcast content.
2. Understand the Fundamentals of Broadcast Media:
   • Explain the core principles of broadcasting, including the history, ethics, regulations, and current trends in television, radio, and digital media industries.
   • Identify and apply broadcasting standards and regulations set forth by governing bodies such as the FCC (Federal Communications Commission).
3. Develop Effective Communication Skills:
   • Create and deliver clear, engaging content for various media platforms, including radio, television, podcasts, and online streaming.
   • Hone public speaking, interviewing, and storytelling techniques suited for different broadcast media formats.
4. Apply Media Writing Techniques:
   • Write and script compelling content for broadcast media, including news reports, commercials, feature segments, and documentaries.
   • Adapt writing styles to meet the needs of different audiences and media formats, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and engagement.
5. Collaborate in Media Production Teams:
   • Work effectively in collaborative, team-based environments typical of broadcast production, including roles such as director, producer, editor, and on-air talent.
   • Apply project management skills to oversee the planning, production, and delivery of media projects from concept to final broadcast.
6. Analyze and Critique Media Content:
   • Evaluate and critique media productions for their technical quality, ethical standards, and audience engagement.
   • Demonstrate an understanding of how media shapes public perception, cultural narratives, and societal impact.
7. Engage with Emerging Technologies and Trends:
   • Explore the use of new media technologies, such as streaming services, social media platforms, and digital editing tools, to enhance broadcast production.
   • Stay current with technological advancements and trends in the broadcast industry, including virtual production, AI-driven content creation, and multimedia storytelling.
