The 2023 calendar year was an incredible year of progress at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é College!
Throughout the year, we celebrated Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é’s 50th Anniversary by respecting our heritage,
cultivating leaders, and creating change. Through our 50th Anniversary Celebration,
the launch and expansion of student support programs, and the addition of some incredible
new team members, Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é grew and prospered throughout the year.
The Health, Wellness & Healing Forum and the Academic Symposium, which were held during
the fall 2023 semester, provided our internal and external community with the critical
opportunity to convene, prioritize health and wellbeing, and learn from local and
national experts. Throughout the Academic Symposium, speakers and panelists focused
on the importance of grace—it was an incredibly powerful message and a fitting end
to Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é’s 50th Anniversary on-campus celebrations.
Alongside our exceptional 50th Anniversary events, the incredible team of professionals
in Academic and Student Affairs worked diligently to provide students with the academic
and non-academic resources needed to thrive. I was thrilled to see Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é’s first food
pantry, the Rox Box, open in September 2023. And I was equally excited to support
the Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é team members who implemented the Tuition-Free Community College plan and MassReconnect.
We are certainly breaking down barriers at Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é!
In this edition of the Gazette, you’ll learn more about our incredible 50th Anniversary
events, student support programs, financial assistance programs, faculty, staff and
more!
In closing, I hope you continue to stay connected with Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é. We’ve officially launched
the search for Ãå±±ÂÖ¼é’s 18th president, and I’m confident that we’ll attract qualified,
passionate, dedicated professionals to apply. Please visit our website to stay updated
and participate in the public finalists interviews—your input is critical to the search
process.
Thank you, again. I look forward to seeing you on campus, and at the 50th Anniversary
Golden Jubilee Gala at the Omni Seaport on February 24, 2024!
